So long Mr. Rooster!! Yeehaw

When Richard decided that Shelby needed baby chicks at Easter, little did we know that this would be one of the "hens". This rooster was not only a little bit mean, he also had no sense of time. He did his cockle-doodle-doo at 5 a.m., noon, midnight-it didn't matter if he was awake, everyone else was too. This picture was taken as we were on our way to the mountain to see Richard's dad (who agreed to take the rooster because he wasnted to have baby chics with his hens) and we were more than glad to drive 70 miles one way to get rid of him. I know you are thinking, why not just "get rid of him". Please remember we have a 3 year old that went out everyday and checks eggs....that's the only reason he lived as long as he did.

Disclaimer: this pic was taken at the end of August. And this would be the last picture taken of this rooster. If you know what I mean. wink wink
