One day after coming home from shopping, the doorbell rang. When Shelby answered the door there sat an Elf with a book called "Elf on the Shelf". Tiffani and Shelby sat down and read this book that explained where the elf came from and why he was staying at our house. It explains that Santa sent the elf to watch over this house and report back to him every night on good and bad behavior. He was a magical elf, so you could not touch him or he would lose his flying powers and wouldn't be able to fly to Santa. Every night he would leave after we all went to bed, fly to the North Pole, report to Santa on the household happenings, and then fly back to the house to be here before we all woke up in the morning.
Shelby named our elf Henry. Every morning we jumped out of bed to find Henry.
