Richard has bear baits in the mountains and we drove up to see if he could get into where his spot is at. First of all the road was actually closed due to an avalanche, but of course we drove around that (against my persistant "chatting"). We found out 2 things on our drive: 1) Shelby is afraid of heights and kept looking out of the truck and saying, "I want to go down, Daddy..NOW" over and over again. 2) Where Richard would park his truck to hike to the baits was being used by snowmobiles as a meeting point. The snow was actually 22 feet deep, and that wasn't the top of the mountain.
